This is melodic black metal rooted in Nordic grief, historical violence, and spiritual collapse.
Blodsdåd och Hor is a conceptual work dealing with betrayal, ancestral guilt, and divine abandonment.
Part III – “Dit Gudarna Trälar Är” – follows the descent into spiritual servitude beneath broken gods.
Jordfäst was born from the dark forests of Småland, Sweden, where founding members Olof and Elis met in the early 2000s. Rooted in black metal, with influences from Scandinavian folk, thrash, and heavy metal, the band weaves tales of bygone Scandinavia, exploring themes of oppression, melancholy, and nature’s cruelty. Formed in 2017, Jordfäst released their acclaimed albums Hädanefter (2021) and Av stoft (2022) via Nordvis Produktion. Now joined by drummer Jocke Unger, they’ve signed with Black Lion Records to unveil their most intense release yet: Blodsdåd och hor.
